GIRLS
The Penguins/Solent Sirens rugby teams were created by an alliance between Petersfield, Havant and Basingstoke Rugby Football Clubs. We have two teams, our Under 15s team is the Penguins and the Solent Sirens is our Under 18s team. We have girls playing for Hampshire and in the South Regional Squad. Girls from the three clubs have gone on to play at university level right up to international level including Fiona Pocock who is a member of the current 6 Nations Womens Champions, England.
Although the Penguins/Sirens have been successful we believe that playing rugby is not just about winning. We endeavor to produce a safe friendly atmosphere that the girls can learn and play competitive rugby.
