Former PRFC junior Will Spencer played for England U18 last weekend. Will is from Denmead, and went to Purbrook Park School. He started playing for Petersfield when he was 10. He captained Petersfield’s U15 & U16 side, and has represented Hampshire since U15, and has played for the London & South East Division’s U16 & U18 sides.  He is currently studying under the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence, sponsored by London Irish, at St Pauls School in Sudbury , and occasionally plays for Petersfield Colts when he can. He is hoping to get a contract with London Irish when he has finished his course. Will is pictured below playing (#19) for England U18 vs France U18 last weekend.

Other Ex PRFC youth players:

Fiona Pocock has started both the last two England 6 Nations games for England’s women team on the wing. She scored one of the tries in the last game, the 41-0 victory over Italy. Below is the picture from the RFUW website of Fiona playing against Wales last year. She now plays for Richmond, having left PRFC three years ago. She is expected to play for England against Ireland this coming Sunday at Esher RFC.

Charlie Amesbury is playing on the wing for Newcastle in the Premiership. He previously played for Harlequins and was with PRFC first team coach Tony Barnes from U7 to U18 at PRFC. He is pictured at the end of last year running round World Cup winner Ben Cohen.
