Training Sessions
We play/ train every Sunday, training sessions start at 10am and we advise turning up about 9.50am to register and Tag up, ready for the warm up at 10am. Any child wishing to have a go is encouraged to come along and see if they like it, there are three free sessions giving children time to decide if they wish to continue and become a member of the club, so there is no pressure to join from the first session.
Training for the under 6's finishes at 11-30am.
Our normal training involves a warm up, various practice drills to improve key skills and of course some fun games as well as tag games (which start after Christmas) followed by a warm down and team talk.

What to Wear
Being warm and comfortable is obviously most important; children need to come dressed for all weather. As the weather gets colder we advise that children wear layers of T-shirts or skins under a rugby top or fleece, tracksuit bottoms, woolly hat and gloves, rugby/football boots or trainers. As they will be removing kit, please name everything to avoid getting lost. Please also bring a water bottle. A snack can also be a good idea to keep the energy levels up. Parents need to wrap up warm too and we can offer warm refreshments from the Club House at very reasonable prices.
If you do want to buy Petersfield kit, it is available from the Sports Locker in Petersfield (payment by cash or cheque only). Shirts are sold in chest size (inches).
Training will still take place if it is windy, cold or light rain, we just gauge how the children are enjoying the session (the wetter and muddier generally creates more enjoyment!) and adjust the length of session accordingly. It is only when the pitches are absolutely waterlogged, frozen; or if it is raining heavily when coaching is cancelled.
Parents/guardians are asked to stay pitch side, at this age group, unless they have agreed with someone else to take full responsibility for their child.
